I’m looking for a professional or mature student lodger to share my 2-bedroom house with me and my friendly dog, so liking dogs is a must! If you work from home even better! The room is spacious with an en suite bathroom featuring a shower over the bath.
 
There is also a downstairs toilet, spacious lounge, kitchen has a built in fridge and shared washing machine. Garden is small but pleasant and has a clothes line for hanging washing out. 
 
The house isn’t huge, so we’ll be sharing communal spaces quite closely. 
Someone easygoing who enjoys a bit of company now and then — whether that’s cooking, walking the dog together, or just hanging out casually.
 
A bit about me:
I’ve been living in York for a year now and am about to start a degree at Askham Bryan college. So I'll be out of the house all day every day. I love travelling (I’ve visited over 30 countries), hiking, wild swimming, reading, gardening, photography, and movies.

Expectations:
I’m looking for someone respectful and tidy who’s happy living with a dog. Smoking cigarettes is okay but absolutely no drugs permitted. Guests are welcome with prior notice and respect for the shared space - Full use of the garden is fine, especially if you're good at gardening 😅
 
A deposit of one month’s rent will be requested. This is a lodger arrangement, not a tenancy, and a simple agreement will be provided.
 
Availability & practical info:
The room will be available to move in probably in about a month or two. The toilet is currently being fixed, and the room only has a bed right now. I’ll be installing blinds soon but you’ll need to bring any other furnishings.
 
There isn’t much storage space inside, but the garden shed is available for bike storage and other bits. There are two car parking spaces on the property; I don’t drive, so parking is easy.
 
Location perks:
The house is in a peaceful spot in YO30 with Aldi right next door and Clifton Moor retail park just a short walk away for shops, gyms, restaurants, and entertainment. It’s a little further out of the city centre, but that means quieter streets and plenty of green space nearby, while still being well connected by number 6 bus into town & road
